STEP’s conventional fracturing fleet represents 490,000 pressure pumping horsepower with capabilities designed for operations in large, equipment intensive plays in North America.
Our Canadian fleet represents 297,500 HP and is active in the Montney, Duvernay, Cardium, and Viking; specifically in integrated services and refracturing operations. STEP’s fleet includes 3,000 HP high rate quintuplex pumps (QNT3000 Thunder Pump). This powerhouse pump combines high pressure and high flow rate capabilities into a single continuous service. It delivers unparalleled performance at unprecedented operating efficiencies resulting in significant economic savings for large scale operations in the Duvernay and Montney.
Our U.S. fracturing operations consist of 192,500 HP and fracturing and completion solutions to producers operating in the Bakken, Permian Basin and Eagle Ford Shale. The entire U.S. fleet is capable of pressures up to 15K, and built to maximize efficiencies in high rate/pressure and high intensity completions in U.S. resources basins.
We pride ourselves on bringing the newest, most innovative technology to the market and our fracturing services division is no different. STEP has the largest dual-fuel fleet in Canada with exceptional substitution rates, which reduces carbon footprint, lowers costs and maximizes efficiencies. The STEP-XPRS, which includes a 4-in-1 fracturing unit, the EPIC (electric powered integrated combo), is also designed to improve operational efficiencies, reduce lease footprint, and promote cleaner power.
One of the keys to a successful hydraulic fracturing program is the reliable, safe and efficient delivery of services. Our dedicated logistics professionals ensure the people, equipment, chemicals and proppant are in the right place at the right time:
Using our extensive oilfield and engineering experience we are able to create customized fracturing programs using specialized software so our clients can maximize the production of their well.
STEP’s frac rooms allow for real-time monitoring and 24/7 technical support, enhanced by our team’s unsurpassed knowledge regarding fracture growth behavior, fracture mapping, production data analysis.
As a standard you can expect daily, per stage, per well and per pad reporting related to operational and efficiency KPIs.
STEP collaborates with a third-party chemical laboratory to support our coiled tubing and fracturing services. Together this partnership brings a wealth of experience in stimulation chemistry in fracturing, acidizing, and production enhancement.
The chemical specialists work closely with our field professionals to engineer optimal, fit-for-purpose solutions for fracturing and coiled tubing operations.
We offer a web-based real-time viewing platform to monitor hydraulic fracture stimulations.
Powered by MRL, Fieldview is accessible to all clients and STEP professionals to observe live treatments and evaluate previous stimulations. The application is fully customizable to suit each client’s needs.
